[ B + B = 0 ] is an experimental video that addresses identity and the body in the digital age. Digital technologies produce a fragmented corporeality, a body made of many bodies, a body of pixels that interrogates the physical body and the human body as the only idea of corporeality. My face is made of data and fragments in planes of color that are processed through the camera and a program that I have created in Max-Msp-Jitter. The sound is weird and it’s not music, it’s something you don’t want to hear, a noise created in other small software in Pure-Data. What is the materiality of this identity, of this body and of this artistic piece? A physical body (matter) that is processed until it disappears.
[ B + B = 0 ] questions the identity of a person in the digital age, it is a self-portrait but it is also this multiplication of the body, the face and finally of identity. A body that is everywhere ends up being nowhere, it is a body that disappears.

The experimental video piece “Paisaje” is a reflection on the landscape understood as the reconstruction of a visual and bodily experience. I am placing oneself in the place and visiting the details that over time they could be forgotten.
A mental landscape that is made with fragments of images, details, different frames, which flow in our minds with several temporalities.
The camera and the audiovisual edition, take place inside and outside to us, as an observed body and body viewer. The camera allows us to visualize that fleeting and unstable detail, it also allows us to make notations, that after can ordered them in a repetitions system , images like a ruins, remains of an experience that resists forgotten.

Paisaje (Landscape) is a piece that collects clips from recordings that I captured in Cuba in 2009, extracts of the city, the sea and my own body that are subsequently processed through software. I created a little software in Max, Msp, Jitter – platform of computer programming for artist – that allows to intervene the texture, time, opacity and color of the images, and where this images can reactive to digital sound create with the same platform. Finally, these images and other recordings are edited in Final Cut software, creating a second and third layer of sound.
